After a difficult childhood of being sent from pillar to post, Aby Hassani finally decided to hang his hat in Paris. Youthful dreams gave way to education, and with a determination to work hard and make a go of it, Aby found some success in the world of business.
But the dreams soon re-emerged: dreams of travel, listening, meeting, observing, inhaling new fragrances, admiring ever-changing light and shadows, picking out a face or capturing a glance...these are the things that now give his life meaning.
Following this initial foray into the business sector, from 2009 onwards Aby Hassani started reversing the roles and depicting the reality on the other side of his camera lens with colours and shapes from his imagination.
This wish to share new emotions has now come true through the magic of his cameras. He captures life in his lens, to preserve and share it through his creations, incorporating the perspective from the other side.
To Aby Hassani, photography is not only a quest, but also an offering.

For Aby Hassani, photography was the only way to transcend a professional world he saw as superficial and to go to the heart of things: sharing with others, baring his soul and giving meaning to his own life.
He rapidly mastered the technical and material aspects, his cameras becoming extensions of his own body. His eyes naturally sought the inner, near spiritual vibration. At such times, he was truly at one with himself.
His instincts are on alert until the shot that frees and soothes him. Nothing is overlooked: a fleeting expression, an unusual and evocative shape, a shade of colour maybe, and light of course.
He is constantly sharing, searching and questioning the nature of his mission, his raison d'être, and the works he sets down on paper are the reflection of his own personality, his inner life.
For Aby, photography is a constant source of joy. The light he seeks is within himself, like a gift or a talent put at his disposal. His artistic approach and spiritual quest merge. Aby has become the photographer of all things essential.
